Classical Japanese literature is full of functional beauty for the very short phrases,  5 7 5 7 7 rhythme .

(Kagerou ni natsu no hatsune zo toyomu naru tamayura todomemu tatsu no utsusemi)

Literal translation : In the heat haze, the first sounds of summer are ringing out, I want to capture this moment. The dragon's empty cicada.

Modern translation:

1.  Kagerou ni

In the heat haze (Kagerou : Spring season word, seasonal overlapping technique, treated as a noun at this time for the early/mid summer period. That word is energy which rises from the ground in the spring and summer when sunlight shines down on it.)

2. natsu no hatune zo  3. toyomu naru

The first sounds of summer are ringing out even more ( it is linked words for emphasis between biding particles ''zo'' and endings conjugation ''naru'' of the following phrase) natsu no hatune is this season of the summer. Generally, hatusu ne is the first cry of bird something in the year - It is a play on the word cicada in the fifth line -.  The first sounds of summer allude the cry of the magpie. On the night of Tanabata, the magpie spreads its wings to form a bridge for Orihime to cross the Milky Way for one time in a year.

4. tamayura todomemu

I want to hold onto this moment. tamayura is a moment.  todomemu is meaning like that I wish I want you/it to stay, and todomemu ''mu'' is final form. That is four-line break. By cutting off the sentence with the fourth phrase, the author emphasizes the following phrase  the last phrase of the poem, focusing on the seasonal changes '' the heat'' outside and on ''my'' own introspection.

5. tatsu no utsusemi

utsusemi is empty cicade/cicade's shell, feeling of an empty shell. tatsu is at 8am. ( At this time, a possible scenario to imagine as a prelude like this I didn't get enough sleep or tiredness after the night.  That could be the 7th of July or not)  tatsu is dragon but the other meaning is time which is 8:00 in the morning around - lack of sleep after returning home in the morning - , with playing on the phrase "year of the dragon" of course it's about this year, too.

noun ending which is techniques for leaving an impression.

utsuseme expresses the seasonal word of the late summer started from July 7th to Aug 7th at the old calendar. ( In other meaning,  utsuseme is woman in the Tale of Genji, who is the first woman to refuse a rendezvous with Hikaru Genji, a play boy. )

A song from the early/mid summer to late summer of the lunar calendar, when the season is changing as transience. The contrast of the heat of lively summer and expresses fatigue and emptiness after the romantic night - tanabata - maybe or maybe not.

These classical Japanese poems here are all my own creation, in accordance with etiquette.  Just in case. Not AI.  My feeling with my body is never deprived.
